Millennium Dubai Hotel hosted the Recycle. Reforest. Repeat 2017 Project organised by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), to join UNCCD in celebration of the World Day to Combat Desertification. The project is directed at recycling of paper, which contributed towards the restoring of degraded land and soil, including land affected by desertification, drought and floods.
The Project advocates the importance of sustainable land management practices and the significance of healthy and sustainable land.The event witnessed a participation of 55 student members, 7 schools and 5 corporate entities.
Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), is the only organization of its kind in the UAE with accredited status to the United Nations Convention to Combating Desertification (UNCCD) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).
